005.JPG003.JPG009.JPGSo I went to a LPS today to get some Dog food and stopped to look at the fish just for the heck of it and they had these really cool looking Peacock bass in there for $7 each, And I just could not leave with out them.... I have no clue what kind they are and was hoping some of you great people on here may be able to help me out with that..? I know they are not the best of pictures but I tried to get them while they was still in the bag, I but them in a 125 with lots of hiding spots so I may not see them for a few days until they settle in... They are about 3" long right now..

They're too young to have any spangling yet. Another inch or two and you'll start to see the body spangling

O ok, Well that would be awesome because I really like Tems, But I would have never in a million years guessed that is what they are.. And I only paid $7 each for them so I think that would be a good deal for some Tems. I did goggle pictures of them and most of the small ones have white spots on them but these guys are really stressed out from all the moving from tank to tank and being shipped so there color is not the best right now... Only time will tell... Thank you again for your help...

I agree that first picture does look a lot like them other then the line on the tail.. With mine that line goes all the way to the end of the tail and comes to a point.. If you look at the 5th picture down in the Azul I think that looks just like mine.. Will you look at that picture and tell me what you think.. I don't doubt what you are saying because I can promise you know a lot more about cichla's then I do, I just thought that other pictures looks a lot more like mine... And thank you again so much for taking your time to help me with this!!! Seems you are the only one who wants to help me.. LOL...
