Please help ID/Sex this Petsmart GT

Hey, I posted this question a little while back but didn't have a pic. I'm pretty sure the GT part is right (Gold Saum) but I'm not sure about the gap in his upper fin. Also, am I right in thinking it's a male.

Also, I know the gravel is ugly and the glass is dirty . And sorry for the bad quality picture.

Its dorsal extends almost to the end of the tail, which makes me lean towards male based on my limited knowledge.

Usually a rip like that will heal back but sometimes when kept in dirty petstore waters for too long it won't.

I'm guessing it won't as I've had him for a few months now. Doesn't matter though he is still an awesome fish. I like how pissed off he looks cause I'm taking his picture.

Looks like it has some blue acara or something in it, as it's head it a little more rounded then it should be, nice fish though.
