I just got this fish from Maidenhead Aquatics and the guys working there couldn't ID the fish. Someone had brought the fish in earlier the same day because it had out grown his tank, but he had no idea what the fish was.

The fish seems to like doing his own thing, and doesn't bother the other fish in the tank, and they leave him alone aswell. He's normally the second fish to get food after the Oscar.

Here are links to some photos of it:

tinfoil barb?
No it's not a tinfoil barb, although the Maidenhead Aquatics guys said it was very close to a tinfoil barb but the shape of the fish isn't right for a tinfoil.

The shape of it makes me think it is a Chalceus: (http://www.wetwebmedia.com/fwsubwebindex/chalceus1.htm).

However I can't find one with the same coloured fins - Black tip dorsal fin and bright orange pelvic fins.

It's no Chalceus either. It looks like it could be related to the tin foils though, the body shape is different than that of the Chalceus.
