Please help ID this gar

Is this a tropical or a florida/spotted or not a gar. I'd be very unhappy if this fish is not a real gar

Thank you pharmaecopia. What is the difference between baby florida and tropical gar ?

You would mainly be lookin at the fins and the eyes of the fish.

Aside from that price is going to be a good indicator as well. Floridas are the most commonly found species, and so tend to be the cheapest.

The only cheapest gar here in India, Kolkata is the gator gar. But i bought this gar cheap for Rs175 that is approx three dollars

Btw can you show me a pic of juvenile tropical gar 2"-4" ?
