The first photo looks like a baby Largemouth Bass.

I think the first one is a spotted bass rather than a largemouth. I have never seen a juvie spotted bass, but I have handeled a LOT of largemouth at that size, and it just doesn't look right to me. I tried to look it up and discovered... hey they have another bass down there that we don't have..... so I am going to default to the one I don't know simply because I really don't think it is the one I do know.

Be careful of your state regulations in taking either species.... http://www.georgiaoutdoors.com/fishing/length.asp?water=fresh

Kinda thought so, just hopin i was wrong. My g/f caught it and really wanted to keep it as a solo in a 55gal that we aren't using and that isn't gonna work, maybe i can talk her into just keeping the warmouth because i'm not gonna dedicate another 150gal just for a largemouth that i have a pond full of already. She really likes native fish, i'm personally more into sa/ca fish.

Just so yall know these fish are caught out of my personal ponds, i just have a huge mix in my big pond from everyone throwing fish in there when we get back from the lake and they don't feel like cleaning what they catch. just don't want anyone to think i'm illegally harvesting fish.

Agreed, the whitish edge on the caudal fin says spotted rather than LM

I'm not so sure the bass is a spotted. They normally have a very pronounced tricolored tail- black at the base, white at the edge, and red or orange in between. They also usually have a lot of dark spots below the lateral stripe. If I had to guess I'd call it a Florida bass. I had a nearly identical bass that I got from a feeder shrimp tank and was trying to grow out to get a better ID on, but he died on me.

Your feeders by the way are a mix of mosquitofish (Gambusia holbrooki) and banded killifish (Fundulus diaphanus), a more northern species which has been introduced in the Augusta area.
