Hello everyone, a fish just came into my store with a group of feeders and I was wondering if anyone could ID it. Here's the pic, I could only get it with my phone before a co-worker took it home. I told him that I would try to ID it for him and if it was something that he didn't want then I would take it.P070314_09.58.jpg

That's what I was thinking but the head seemed a little blunter & the eye was much larger than the Jacks that we have in the store, some are smaller and some are larger but you can tell that they are Jacks. In fact its body shape was more like a parachromis, can't tell from the picture though. I was thinking some kind of hybrid. We're always getting something mixed in with feeders, from sunfish to a whole lot of crayfish. But I don't think that cichlids can cross with centrarchids. It's sort of like that feeling when you look at something that should be one thing but you get the feeling that somethings just not right.

It's an extremely stunted and malnourished jack demspey, probably not long to live - but could turn around and still grow, recovery improbable.
