Odds are it's a P fenestratus "Catemaco". Do you know who it came from? There is one supplier I could name that I bought a fenestratus from and it ended up zonatus...hmmmm. Runs a big farm out of Florida.

thanks for getting back. bought from lfs who bought it at a fish aucuction in Dallas. will the color change much & how big in the long run.

If it is truly a Catamaco, id say common size 14-16". Colors may morph a bit. Google Catamaco, you may get better ideas of what it may look like.

it does look like a piebald fenestratus. its colors will most likely change to a marbled looking pink/red/orange/black but there is no telling really. It may stay the same for life. This fish is in noway a zonatus, in my opinion
