I acquired a 5 year old 4" long Pleco about 2 months ago. I was told it was a Bristlenose but am uncertain. I took it from a 30 Gallon tank that it shared with a 14" Pleco of a different type. The larger Pleco terrrorized the one I now have, would chase relentlessly and suction onto it. The Pleco I have has these lighter coloured patches as well as tiny white spots. I am unsure as to wether these markings and spots are a part of the natural colouring of this variety or if these are wounds or some symptoms of an illness? Also I have not seen it eating any of the foods i have been offering, and have not seen it producing any waste. It is either clinging to its driftwood or hiding in its cave if its spooked. I have provided pictures but am no photographer so I hope they are ok. Any thoughts or help would be much appreciated Thanks

The tiny white spots could be the beginning of ich, but I'm not sure.

Lighter colored patches could be from the larger pleco sucking on it. Tiny spots could be ich.
