I'm sorry the pictures are not very good, had to use my phone to take these. I picked this fish up at GCCA swapmeet a couple weeks ago. I cant find him in my cichlid book anywhere.
 
tough for me to say with the coloring in the pics, but i'm pretty sure you can narrow it down to being a hap which is a start to help you research it more
 
Aristochromis?Try to get some more profile shots.
 
I can tell you without a doubt and am 150% sure this is a buccochromis nototaenia!!! I have 3 of them and love to death. They are a awesome fish. They get pretty big, and it's a Hap. They are on the red list also for endangered fish so they are still around but they have restrictions on breeding wild ones, and bringing wild ones into the hobby. They are very active and that pic. is of a male.
