[Please Help] Issue with my Oscar

First off, not sure if I should post this in the Pleco section or Oscar Sections, so if I did post it in the wrong section I am very sorry!~


Anyways, So I have this 7" Oscar.... and yeah he's starting to become a huge pain in my ass.... One morning I noticed there is alot more algae in my tank and usual, So I did a quick inspection to find out that my Oscar has made my Pleco into a meal..... Literally the pleco was gone.... My Oscar is not hurt or anything I just really need to get another Algae eater....

Before my Oscar would harass my pleco with a bite or two but it never got this bad.... I just woke up and the pleco is dead... -_____-

Is there any way I can get another Algae eater that will clean my tank AND survive from my Oscar?

Oscars will eat anything that fits in their mouth, even if they have to stretch it, and it takes an hour to swallow. So whatever pleco you get must be much bigger than that mouth. I've had 10" oscars swallow 7" crayfish, claws and all.

Agreed oscars are swimming garbage disposals. The pleco should be bigger than the Oscar next time and even then it may find a way to kill it.

Thank you for the reply !!! And yeah I just bought a new pleco about 8" and it is bigger then my Oscar's mouth.... I hope he doesnt he harass him :|
