Take notice to the fold of the jaw/gills underneath, and the number of holes/dimples underside. When the underside of the fish turns white, the holes are much easier to see.
but lacerdae isnt included in the diagram so dont have a basis for comparison. What about the above posted fish clues in that it's a lacerdae? Very curious to know whether mine is as well.
Thanks guys me I believe it is a hoplias lacerdae, because my friend has one very big from the same source (midle Orinocco). If u look at the shape of his head, colors and the back look like a lacerdae. The jaw in my opinion it is not something very important because lacerdae cames from many diferent places and are many diferent tipes....
