Hey guys, I have pretty much always had a tank set up my whole life, from small to large, but for almost 10 years now just a 12gal . I am looking to get back into the hobby at a higher level and upgrade to something bigger, between 36 and 70 most likely. I'm doing my research on what is new with tanks, filtration, and everything else. The thing I can't wrap my head around is LEDs. Are there a couple models that you guys would recommend? I see Marineland as the big name and it seems from what I read many people are happy with their products, however some completely trash them. But what are the alternatives without getting crazy in price? I am keeping freshwater, new tank might be as high as 24", no live plants at the moment but possible in the future, so if the cost isn't a tremendous amount more I'd like a light that's capable. I'd appreciate any input on this, or even just a point in the right direction, it's the one piece of my upgrade that my own research isn't getting me all that far. So many brands that I can't find much feedback on and I am lost when it comes to lumens, PAR, k, etc. Thanks a lot in advance.
