I have 3 bichir, size 8 ". What do you know its variants?

Here are photos, sorry my camera is not good, so the picture is less well too.

Lapradei similar, but there are black marks on his fins.

nothing special with black marks that i know of, some consider them a blemishes and as such undesirable.

having black marks does not make them distinguishable to any variants or belonging to any such variants.
 
Just a normal CB lapradei.
 
The black markings are a result of previous external parasite damage or pigmentation.
It will go away no need to medicate.

And yes, it's a captive bred Lapradei.

if its pigmentation i dont think it will ever go away, i have seen some with still the same black spot after 6months, looks to some kind ok birth mark. i may be wrong.
 
Pimentation problems DO go away, even without meds.
Been confirmed by a Scientist that bro Schmike got in touch with who took a sample.

wow nice to know, on previous occasions when picking bichirs i try to avoid getting ones with the black spots, good to know that they do go away.
