Please Help Me with My new Tank

I already have a stand.
i wanna utilize it and make an aquarium.

i ve built some small 30 and 50 gal aquariums(glass).Worked out pretty well.

Now i wanna build a 6ft(L) x 1ft 1 Inch (W) x 1.5 ft or 2ft (H) NARROW tank. what height shud i go with?
i dont have a bigger option for the width of the tank, cuz i already have table of that size.


everything is okay, But i wanna the Thickness of the glass which i need to use, its been making me go mad!

Ppl recommended me 12mm thickness glass(Which is like a thick wall!)

Can i use 10mm glass? And im gonna add two braces on the top..


Stock of fishes i have:

1, 4 inch oscar
1,4 Inch GT
1,10 Inch pangasius catfish
2,3 inch Tinfoil Barbs

If you're gonna spend the time and $$ for a tank that big, why not build a stand that will fit a wider tank??? Sorry, but I don't know about glass thickness, but there is a guide line thread on glass thickness.

Anyway, looks like a cool project!

I would suggest making it wider too but if you don't want to I like the additional height of a two foot tall tank. Just make sure it won't tip over though.

Thanks, Im Too restricted with the Width of the tank.
All i can do is increase the height..
Getting really confused the glass thickness :s

You could probably get way with 10mm. That thickness rates at a safety factor of 2.5 on this site

Yeah! got myself, 10mm glass, gonna start Building now!
Gonna add 2 braces(just in case) for safety.
