Okay, so im basicly freaking out right now. Last night I fed my electric cat, hes was completely fine, ate and went under his drift wood as usual. This morning I woke up and he has a HUGE gash starting at the tip of his head going about 2 inches down his back!!!!!! Its a very deep scratch and in very worried! He loves to dig and hide under that piece of wood, so my guess is being the wood is jagged he got caught and forced his way out, so i took the wood out so he couldnt further injure his self, he has a wide open bell he can hide in, but he continues to dig under the bell! Aside from his monster gash on his head, the digging is messing up his whiskers a little bit. After I took the wood out I done a nice water change and added aquarium salt to the tank to help the cut. Do you guys think he will be okay???

sounds like you're on the right track. My catfish are rough and end up with scratches and gouges all the time. Trust me he should be fine. Just keep an eye out for infection and in case it gets worse.
