I bought this guy three days ago and I found nothing wrong in the begining. After one day, this one became active and always swam near the water surface.I thought it was caused by low oxygen in water or it had parasites in its gill.So I have used methylene blue to treat it for two days.It is still alive but looks really hard to survive. Its spine always remains a bending shape.I do not know what it is that caused its illness. Please help it,please.

these guy need to be in a school, otherwise they die from stress.

Methylene blue can be fatal to scaleless fish, and very sensitive fish if not used properly.

Lol pole yours are ok aren't they?

I say mine are an exception, and I only bought a pair as they were a lucky cheap find in a tank full of tiger barbs and glass fish. glass cats are un- heard of in my area.

The pet shops in montreal stock up on these things like crazy lol. Ppl in this city seem to love community tanks. Every group i join is community oriented, then i post pictures of my wolf fish and ppl think im crazy lol

But i think the others may be right that your fish hurt itself cuz its stressed from not being in a group. If thats the case itll probably only get worse if it stays alone. I tried keeping a bucktooth tetra alone and that thing died in about 2 weeks because its a school fish.

my areas got quite a nice selection of monsters, just a lack off glass cats. I also personally believe that if smaller than preferred schools of fish are kept in smaller tanks than recommended with a little more flow, it could work, however don't quote me on that.
