Please help, my indo dat is breathing rapid and heavy

for the past 3 days my 4" datnoid has been breathing heavy and rapid. Its mouth stays wide open. Something is wrong with it. I've given it good care: weekly water changes, weekly filter cleaning, daily feeding. Dont know whats wrong with it. Please help a brother out.

do you have enough airation in the tank?

stop feeding, increase surface turbulance in your tank and start doing small frequent water changes. Test your parameters and let us know more........

I agree with them^ Up your aeration and check your water. Dats need a lot of air.

check ur temp as well...

high temp = warmer water = can hold LESS o2...

yep exactly, check temp as well as all other water params, the hotter the water the less oxygen it holds, more surface agitation helps.
post the results here.
