Hi,
My parents have been taking care of my jardini since I've left for college, but coming back for thanksgiving, I discover that my jardini is sick. Checking the water parameters, I soon learn that the nitrites, and ammonia levels are dangerously high, so I immediately do a water change and use those ammonia/nitrite neutralizing tablets. Anyways, here is a list of what is going on, please help.
Fish:
15.5 inch Jardini Arowana
Tank Parameters:
-7.0 pH
-High Nitrites/Ammonia (but water changes have been done...though any other tips on how to lower it will be appreciated)
Symptoms:
-Hasn't eaten since 11/14/10
-developed White growths on it
What has been done:
-multiple water changes
-Changing all the filter stuff (washed the entire system)
-ammonia/nitrite neutralizing tablets
-formalin/malachite green
I know its a small tank for such a large arowana, and I've been working on convincing my parents to get a larger tank.
Thanks,
Josh
