My 6 inch gold severum has inflmation around his mouth that has led to his lips protruding and the skin comming off. I have had this fish for a year, he is in a tank that has been set up for over a year, and all water parameters are good. None of his tank mates are showing any signs of sickness. I have looked into mouth rot and i dont think thats what im dealing with. Is it possible this is a result of running into things? Please help I don't want to loose this fish.

He might have banged his mouth or even had to nipped while playing (yes I call it playing because fish chase and nip at each other all the time and they are fine together). I've had fish who either got banged/nipped another centimeter lower and their mouths basically shut and they ended up dying. Yours looks good though, just make sure he keeps eating and my best guess would be an injury.

I'm no disease expert but on my phone it looks like columnaris which causes duck lips. What is your tank temp at.

Has it been lip locking? I suspect duck lips, as stated above.

Can you isolate?

As far as lip locking, i have never seen him do any of note. Hes with other sevs and a small gt. I have all my more agressive stuff in other tanks. I can isolate if i need to, just have to set up a tank from storage. Tank temp is at 75. If it is the duck lip problem is there a treatment? If it is columnaris or other infection what should i treat with? Should i treat him alone or treat the entire tank he is in incase others are infected?

If it is duck lips i do not think it will afect the others.....

Send a holler to Chrisplosion or to RD. urgently

I removed the infected fish, and he is now being treated in a 25 gallon. I am treating with salt, erythromycin, and i have a general parasite med i may add if i make no progress with this. This was what i gathered from searching treating duck lips. It seems nobody agrees on how to treat it. Anymore input would be greatly helpful.

Pm RD, or Lupin. They know a lot about diseases!

IMO its "ducklips" caused by flexobacter (Columnaris). Drop the temperature to 74-75 F (this will slow the progress of the disease) and use a combination of kanamycin and Furan-2. If you're fortunate and the problem hasn't progressed too far, the condition may reverse itself. Is very often fatal despite treatment. Good luck.
