Okay so I seeded a new tank with media and transfered fish a week later. Ammonia gas not gone over .25 Nitrites have stayed 0 and Nitrates where a little under 5 and then dropped down to zero. I monitor my tank every morning and night with liquid test kit. So here the story begins.........
One of my Blood Parrots who layed eggs and removed them a week before stopped eating and stays in her cave and sometimes swims around for short periods ( She now has black lips and just devolped a black streak on her forehead). One of my Gold Severums acts normal and happy but from my other tank that had a crazy Nitrate spike developed Hole In Head and developed a small white spec on fin (last night he was removed do to seeing another one next to nose that is now gone today. Also Last night during a .25 ammonia spike, my favorite 1 out of 4 Guianacaras died in my transfer tank after having a swollen eye that had a white string or tear hanging of the eye. The other 3 are happy but I will say that the guy who sold them to me gave them to me with bitten up fins that he said his Silver Dollars did. All of the other fish are starting to look healthy and none of my other bBlood Parrots have black spots. I dont want to medicate with anything that will mess up my cycle that I believe to be done within this past 2 weeks due to seeding and constant monitoring. I have used Seachem Stabilty for the 7 days, Ive used lots of Stressguard, Regular dosing of Prime, and now am about to order Paraguard due to it being able to be used during new tank developement. please help as its cutting into my school and everyday life. Oh and I also used the API dosing of salt a few days ago. Will Paraguard help the newer tank that is a little more sensitive? What treatment is best for the what i think to be mild Ich (if it is?) in old quarantine aquarium? Again Im desperate here and dont want to disturb newer tank.
