Hi,

Yesterday everything was fine, I woke this morning and my male red terror has this big white spot on his face (I'm not talking about the tiny white marks on the sensors, just the big white spot in the middle, I.e. The biggest white spot:

No other fish in my tank has it, there is definitely no ich.

Medications I have available are:

Potassium permanganate
Tetracycline
Amoxicillin
Doxycycline
Metronidazole

What should I use?

Try Metro treat the tank as directed and withold one package as a food soak. Use just enough water to dissolve the powder and soak the food for about 15 mins and then dump it into the tank.

Thanks, what dose for metro? My tank is 300l.

Checked him this morning and it seems to have spread across his face, still no other fish has any symptoms

The dosing instructions will be on the package. In addition to metro you can also salt the water at 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons of water.

I'm in Australia, we cannot get metro for fish!

I happen to have it because my friend got prescribed it by the doctor and managed to get me a few bottles so I don't actually know the dosage for fish!

The bottles I have contain 400mg per tablet.

Also I have salt in my tank at a rate of 80g per 100l

I was not on line and just saw this, 250mg per ten gallons.
