Thinking of ordering some Pike from Rapps. He has Lenticulata, which I like. He also has "sp. Atabapo II", which I'm not very familiar with. He also has Lacustris and Johanna.

I want something that looks great, but won't be extremely aggressive towards my 12" and 10" pair of Festae in a 265g along with a 17" Tigrinus.

Out of the list above, which should I get? Or should I hold out and look for something different? Any opinions? Please help a crenicichla green pea. Thanks.

Lents can be a wee bit peckish ... I would see what Mtn_Pike would say about the malaria pikes (horrible common name for the lacustris) about their aggression. They are beautiful pikes. I have a feeling johanna would be the least aggressive of the group.

Thanks DP. I once had a Lent that was quite aggressive towards fish that would let it bully them.

I'm interested in the Lacustris. Would like to know about typical aggression and if they're hardy or if susceptible to HITH.

Thanks.

I think everyone is going to have a different answer because the decision comes down to personal preference. If it was me the order of preference would be Atabapo II, Lacustris, Lent., and then the Johanna. There is nothing wrong with the Johanna's sp. they are just one of me least favorite even though I would eventually own one someday lol. The Atabapo II are prone to HITH, IMO if you keep the ph in the lower 6 closer to 5 rang and a proper diet you should not have a problem with HITH. I can’t give any info on the Lacustris besides the are really nice looking or the Lent. Because I have not owned any…. haven’t owned any yet that is lol. Good luck and let us know what up getting.

Thanks Jumbie for the info. I think the Atabapo is out because my tap water ph here is about 7.5 and it would more than likely develop hith. I like the Lacustris but they're sold out now I think :(

Guess I'll keep looking.
