good day to all.

i been keeping this little fellow 5 -6 " for a few months and all the while i thought it is a black rhom. til recently someone said it is a irritans
can anyone help to ID this little fellow ???

spilo. go to the adult id sticky and click on Serrasalmus spilopleura. not a rhom, but still a cool piranha.

any chance of taking a good flank shot? it's hard to properly ID it if it keeps moving around. but doesn't look like serrasalmus spilopleura to me

Not an irritans and not a spilo.. Wrong shape for spilo. Would be better to have a sit still shot with decent lights.
