Looks like you confirmed it. I posted on reef forum and the reply was some type rotifer.
So these organisms seem to be quite adaptive as you stated.
They are not free floating that I’m aware of but I did see something swimming near it. The problem is if I add the specimen top plate, it crushes it.
So I jusy added few drops onto the bottom plate. Since the water droplet is bouncing around, it is hairy sensitive to movement plus trying to stay steady with iphone to take the shot.
I’m glad you enjoy. It is fun for me as well. So amazing how many microscopic creatures we still find out there.
So is the tulip like part an egg sack, then releasing a free swimming rotifer or the entire thing is the rotifer which it attaches to the surface?
