Sorry to hear about your loss.

Is live black worm available in Tas? We get it in QLD and it seems to be one of the best things to feed spiney's

Sorry for your loss. Have you tried target feeding? I'll move this to bottom dwellers.

If you could get tubifex worms, you will not have any problems coz they are water worms. Flakes don't have any nutrition. Try feeding him small shrimps or cutted market shrimps.

sorry for your loss.. i use eye dropper or place food right into their cave or hiding place until they adjust to tank and feel comfortable enough to eat out in the open... maybe you can do this with this other eel just to give him every chance at eating something... once they go too long without eating it is harder to get them back on track...i would try frozen blood worms for starters..

My 4" peacock eel has no interest whatsoever in frozen foods of any kind (brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, or bloodworms. I've got some live blackworms ordered from my LFS but in the meantime i've found mine will nibble at earthworms even though they are too big for him to eat whole. Mine loses interest immediately as soon as the worm is dead or almost dead unless you wiggle it around for them. I would feed him earthworm chunks but I know he won't eat them because of the dead factor.

If yours is big enough, just feed him earthworms they love them. If you can get him to eat frozen bloodworms, you're very lucky. Either way try to hand feed him.

oh yess i had the same luck with mine they wont reckonise the bloodworms at all
its crazy you would think if you was hungry u would have a bite at something but he just died very weird it was an emo fish or something lol
