Good thought ;) And antagonism is cool cause the seperater takes the hits.. But hcances are the Pacu would probably stay away from the barrier given the fish on the other side has already shown it's superiority at this point.. And that would give both fish adequate space ..... FOR the TIME BEING.....
 
Buy 5 more pacu and 2 more oscars.

the more with these fish, the better. THe oscar is picking on the pacu because you dont have anything else to take a hit. get a few other fish. 200g is fine for a year. so load the ***** up with babys and keep the nice ones.

Yes I agree. I was just geting ready to say, buy about six more oscars and give the pacu back to the LFS. You will most likely get a pair out of the seven oscars

The oscars can live in there for life. A 200g will be perfect for a pair of oscars

Ditch the pacu. get a shoal of oscars.

make a divider for the tank they each get 100 gal apiece get some egg crate or cut up a old plastic shopping cart with grinder very heavy duty lol
 
thanks for all the ideas. i tried the seperator and its pretty funny to watch the oscar go straight at the seperator trying to attack the pacu. it actually looks like the pacu is teasing him orsomething. he swims right by the seperator and its driving the oscar crazy. i am gonna get a couple more pacus and an oscar. i didnt want too many fish becuase my mom is taking care of them thoughout the week and im watvhing them when i come back from college. i dont want too many oscars because cleaning up after it is starting to piss me off. they **** way too much. but thank you to everyone who replied
 
It was the other way around with me. The pacu I had kept bullying my oscar. I'd wake up in the middle of the night hearing water splashing around. I'd look in the tank and see my oscar's face all cut up from the pacu.
