please help with channa stewartii

was just woundering if they are mouth breeders or nest builders ? i have three left out of six and two of them seem to want to breed.are the females generaly bigger then the males? the bigger one does not have the color that the smaller one has . the big one is about 4 inches and the smaller is just under 4 inches .any help would b greatly appricated thanks !!!

Yes, mouth brooders.

Not necessary that female is bigger than the male, could be either way too.

4 inches is a bit young for them to breed. Did you see them both swimming across each other trying to wrap? Are they chasing the third?

Hi,

as already said stewartii are male mouthbrooders.
Size is not a sign for female sex. Males have more bllue in the fins and sometimes mor black spots.

yes they chase the other one .and ya they swim and try to wrap . the smaller one has alot of blue in its bottom fin .
