I just picked this guy up today. I was thinking maybe fader FH, but I don't really know much about FH's, so that is really just a guess. He's about 8", thick, and really mellow. I paid $20 for him.
Fenestratus maybe ? definately one of the Vieja species unfortunately they can be hard to identify cause a lot of them look very similar unless you know what you are looking for.
try googling Vieja species and see what you get
Now that I have a starting point, I searched and that is what it looks like. I hope his color pops as he gets bigger and settled into his new home. I saw some with amazing color on Giggle.
It's definitely Vieja. A bit difficult to ID these things sometimes with all the color variations and potential hybridization but I think Shawn is right on the ID.
I tend to agree with bifas, here is one I had. The distinguishing feature of bifas is the dark area above the lateral line, in the anterior of the fish.
