Not 100% sure if this is mycobacterium or I’m confusing this for something else (a proper ID and treatment would be very appreciated) but I believe that my rainbowfish and flowerhorn have mycobacterium as My rainbow has developed these red lesion type things on both sides (worse on the right) aswell as my Flowerhorn which only has it on one side the scales are red and look almost as if they were torn off and skin like but if looked at from the back (tail) it’s as if the scales are raised. Ive had problems with this specific rainbow about a year before (velvet/film on his side and swimming around in circles) but he bounced back after a couple treatments. He still eating and acting normal (same with the flowerhorn) but after a few searches could this be Mycobacterium!? Flowerhorns tank: Temp: 83, Ammonia: 0, nitrate: 0.5, nitrite: 0 pH: 7.5, the rainbows tank is the same just temperature is about 76. I’ve already started running a dose of API aquarium salt and melafix, but I’m not sure if this will help at all any help would be appreciated thanks!.
