Please help with this cichlid ID

I received these two and were told that they were juvenile Vieja Synsplilum. The last pair that I had before were much lighter and had red heads, these are very dark and have me wondering. Is it because they are very young, will they color up as they get older and look like they're supposed to or are they not Synspilum?

I'm thinking the same thing, really would love to find out what they are.
