Can one of the experts here please confirm if this is a Hoplias curupira? I think it is but if you zoom in it does appear to have something like a spot near the gill cover like Hoplias aimara. I took a pic of under the jaw and I could not see the group of 4 sensory pits characteristic of curupira. 20141130_143802.jpg20141130_143753.jpg

Thanks. I bought it as a Black Wolf; however, I just wanted to confirm, especially after I noticed that small spots near the gill plates that are hard to see due to the pattern of colors.

Also, the pores under the jaw that are mentioned as a characteristic to look for are harder to see than I originally imagined.

If anyone else would care to agree or disagree, please feel free to post. I think it is a curupira too, but the spots threw me off.
