What the heck is a "Gold" Pike?????Has anyone ever heard of these,any info would be great...like size attained.Thanks .

I've heard of a gold flake pike. My lfs gets them every once in a while, from what they told me they get around 12''-16''.

Need a picture to be able to tell anything. I've never heard of that common name but xingu I are often called orange pikes so it could be the same thing. Look up pics of juvinile xingu I and see if it looks the same as what you saw.

I would agree. Never heard of gold pike but, I have been searching the net like crazy since I read this and all I can think is juvi xingu I.

Fish stores like to use common names so you don't know what you're getting, and if you ask what species the fish is they're usually clueless.

id say its most likely a saxatilis pike. i always seem to see all sorts of different common names for the different species. and they really dont mean anything.

Well they kinda look like Sveni(like mine)but the Lfs claims these are "Gold" pikes.I told the manager that i never have heard of these Pikes he just shrugged.
