i o w england
my frt has attacked my large catfish ripping a hole in its side what should i do? no one wants my cat fish i cant give him away he just keeps being picked on all day i cant remove frt i only have one tank

Unfortunately, it's probably a terminal bite, unless you want to spend a fortune with an aquatic veterinarian to try to save your catfish. Most turtle/fish encounters eventually end up this way. Hard lesson about tankmates. My suggestion is gonna sound cold, but you might as well euthanize the cat and present the rest of the meal to your FRT. Whenever a fish/turtle scenario exists, the faster and more ferocious one wins. Sorry for your loss. Peter

You could always get another tank, its that or your catfish is a goner. Lesson learnt, just like many others.

its not meant to be mean but you should just get another tank put him in there and see if he survives thats all the advice i can give ya on this

thanks for nothing

We told you the best you can do, unless your going to separate the two, then the Catfish is lost. Keeping Turtles and Fish together and expecting them to co-exist is fool's play. You could put in a tank diverder, and keep them seperate, but that will impact the quality of life for both and you will still need to get another tank eventually.

erm tbh i would have given the same advice, its kinda that or hes guna have a slow death being picked on.
sorry.
