fish cave
ok im a little worried i have been in saltwater for a long time so my fresh water knowlig is rusty. my gater gar and my tsn eyes are starting to get foggy and im afraid that thay are getting an eye infection. can i throw a bar of copper in there to treat the tank or will it hame the fish. im not worried about it harming the scaly ones it is the scaleless fish that are in the tank it is a 125g set up. i have copper bars from a braker box i tore apart

no i haven't but i just did a 60% water change 3 days ago and added new carben pads and new charcoal to my canister saturday. i will do anther water change on the tank tomaro i dont have a test kit for freshwater. :(

the only other thing i have is methylen blue

Test your water. You replaced part of your filter media, so it's likely you triggered a cycle. Can't know for sure unless you test.

i have api test kits for saltwater will it work for fresh water as well?

ok as long as my test is working right im sitting at .50 to 1.0 ppm ammonia

well know im having an algae bloom manged to clog my backpack in 2 days y is it that i have a glass bottom no decorations no problems i add gravel and 2 fake plants (all new rinsed and clean before i put them in and know everything goes haywire :irked:
