ok guys So I just bought a BN baby pleco today about 1 inch big I have 5 1 inch angelfish in the tank. I turned the lights off and the pleco came out and started to do his thing eating algae off the glass. I just noticed the angels creeping up on the pleco and it looks like they are going to nip at him.... What should I do I shewed them off for now but what happens if I go to bed? Should I have gotten a mature BN?

Take it out or put it in a fry trap.

I would never buy a BN at that size unless I bought them in bulk and was going to keep them alone.

You should of bought a bigger one if you are concerned about the other fish killing it.

I realize it's too late to answer now and you've likely gone on to bed. Hopefully the little guy made it just fine. With Plecos, always make sure they have some structure to hide in. A small cave, a few rocks and other pieces will work nicely. Also, with Plecos, you should have some driftwood.

Plecos are survivors. As long as they aren't drastically "out-sized" and they have good structure, they should be OK.

Good luck!

Relax!
