I need help with my sump.

The tank is 180 gallons and i think the sump will either be 55 or 20 gallons.

I just got a aqueon submersible pump 3000 that pumps 630 gph at 0ft head height.

I am also going to get an overflow box. Does this need to be correlated with the gph of the sump?

Is this enough filtration or no

Please help

THanks

You want to make sure the overflow has a higher rating than the pump that way it can send back all the water it gets and you don't overflow the tank and drain the sump.

Also, 20 gallons is going to be too small. You want to try to keep the sump tank 1/4 - 1/3 the size of the main tank.

Also make sure you don't overfill the sump, you want to make sure there is some reserve so in the case of a power outage of pump failure, you don't overflow the sump.
