right i have been treating for white spot for the last 5 days ..... adding salt upping the tempreture and doing 25- 40 percent waterchanges a day.... my fish are dieing ... i have now lost 2 ebjd and 2 synodontis flavitaeniatus, my large red head (Vieja synspila) and 1 large pleco not sure of the name are not looking good.... there are no signs on the red head nut i will upload some picture of the pleco please can you advise on anything else i can do

Ich? Put the temp to like 85 but make sure there is plenty of o2. Salt helps and water changes help, I wouldn't bother with meds

i have done that for 5 or 6 days would have thought it would have cleared up by now ... but it hasnt and i am losing fish

When you say increasing temp to what 30 c? when doing water changes are you dosing the new water with salt? have you completely dosed your tank with salt from start ie total volume

its at 29 / 88 i dosed the 1st day at 0.3 concentration and replaced the salt with everywater change its now at 0.9 concentration and has been for the last 4.5 days

the pleco is allso swimming very strangly and coming to the survace alot......... i have an large air stone producing alot of o2 so that seems strange aswell

It sounds like you have done everything right, I've tried meds before that die your tank and don't seem to do anything I was also putting melafix in clean up any wounds abrasions created. Waiting game

grrrrrrrrrr its so sad i had my ebjd for over 5 years....... blame myself though should have quantined my new fish........ o well hope i ma left with some fish

Yes, the salt and heat treatment for ich will work in most cases, but as you have found out it takes time. Sorry that you lost fish in the process. Ich is one thing I don't fool around with. It can kill fish quickly. Unless you have fish that are sensitive to medication, I advise people to use Quick Cure (medication) when dealing with it. IMO it is the best medication for ich and works the fastest.
