Please HELP

I recently bought a 100 gallon planted tank from another member here, within a few days of setting the tank back up I lost 3 fish....Did not think much abt it because it was an 8 hour trip back & took most of the night to get the tank up & moving again. Things were fine for a cpl weeks...I moved most of the fish into different tanks & added juvi. angels, again things were fine...One day I noticed the largest angel sitting in front of the glass in the middle of the tank...by the end of the night the rest were doing the same thing & would shoot forward a little every so often...they still LOOKED ok though...the next day a cpl had what looked like a grey film on them & most of them were acting odd...i added Binox to the tank (was all i had on hand) & waited...the next day i lost all 6 bettas, they had large portions of their bodies that looked a little bloated & were white...the angels r still hanging in there but i'm not sure if i should continue with the binox or switch to something else

HELP!!


i can get pics of some of the angels if that would help
 
What are your water parameters? They play a huge factor in your situation.
 
Can you post the pics of all your fish with symptoms?:) It would certainly help.:) Also, be on the lookout for nitrite and nitrate tesk kits. You'll need them to dig deeper on what is causing your situation.
 
damn, sounds like water param... but the betta's may have killed each other, no idea man.. i'd start that tank over from scratch.. all new fish and new water. CLEAN start! Good luck:headbang2
 
the bettas did not kill eachother...there was one male & 5 females, they looked the same as 2 of the fish I lost within a cpl days of setting the tank back up...& starting over is NOT an option, I'm not giving up on the fish just because they r sick, not to mention all of the plants that r in that tank

sorry abt the pics, i get near the tank & they think they r getting fed so it is impossible to get them to hold still...they r all eating fine :)
the angel in the top pic is the worst, has lost most of it's dorsal fin but has no tufts of fungus or visible parasties

Why would you start from scratch?:confused: There is a way to solve problems like this.;) Starting from scratch only makes matters worse. The fish are probably stressed already and starting over simply doubles the chances of a very high death toll. Pls remember that stress is often the no. 1 factor for the deaths of most fish and is often the one that triggers various diseases as stress lowers the fish's immune system raising their susceptibility to bacteria, etc.

Soul, I can't clearly see the angel's body.:( Any chance of close-up pics? It will also help the others too who are determine to help you.:)
 
here is a better pic, these r the 2 that seem to be having the worst problems...it is difficult to see the cloudiness of the skin in the pics though :( ...most of the body is the same texture as the head in the first pic up there ^^
