I’m having troubles figuring out what my fish is. I get told it’s a hybrid. Either a Texas hybrid or a Vieja?

Looks like an attempt at making a red texas of flowerhorn.

Agree looks like a hybrid, so the only sure way to what species were used created, would be with a DNA test, everything else would be speculation.

Definitely looks like there is some Dempsey in there the way the mouth is shaped. I almost though that was a pink one but it has that big black stripe characteristic of a Flowerhorn.
Could be a Dempsey Flowerhorn cross.
Either way that is a very nice looking fish!

I never knew you could get DNA test for them
