So recently I added 2 Gold Sevrums to my tank, I quarantined them for about a week to make sure they were healthy and I treated for any bacterial problems. What I didn't notice was the ick on their bodies because of the color.. Now ick has massively spread through my tank and I have been treating for 2 weeks now and I have even up'd the dosage it seems to just be getting worse..

Anyone have some tips I can use to get rid of this fast?

Thanks!

Yes up the temp and do not add more meds unless they are added within a water change. Keep in mind that the tomites on your fish will not gradually go away. They will all fall off in one day after you've broken the parasites life cycle.

Up the temp. to 87F, use lots of salt, and what meds have you been using anyway?

I have been using Ick Attack By Novalek.. Hmm.. I was keeping my temp around 82F I will up it, I wasn't sure if that would be too much for the fish..

Thank you for the tip.

copper safe!!! you should treat for at least 3 weeks you can only kill it in the free swimming stage

Most ich remidies have to have the charcoal removed from your filter did you remove yours?

Yes, removed and then put in some plain filter floss.. So I can keep the large derbis particles out of the tank.

I have been replacing them every 3 days.

in the fish disease and health forum section there is a simple and effective treatment for ick in the stickies.. and it WORKS.
