Fellow Piranha keepers,
i recently started keeping RBPs and i was wondering how many can i fit in my tank...

i've been reading a general rule which says 20-25gallons for each RBP, but my tank foot print is 48 x 30 x 30 inches...

thank you in advance for your attention to this topic...

48x30x30 I believe that footprint are 120gallon (I can be wrong)...

In my opinion you can easy fit 4 full grow adult in there, that's including decoration plants, rock, wood, etc...

6medium

6-8 small RBP in there. Some put 4 and 5 full grown but it's still up to you.

8-10 for life.

you're tank is 4ft long but you're width is 3ft which should give them enough space to swim around. but i prefer long tanks for piranha's. something like 7-8ft long would be perfect.

actually 90gallon footprints are 48x18x24. much smaller than this guys tank.

i just realized that he stated 30"....

Your aquarium can hold 187.0129 gallons of Water. If we assume the water level in your aquarium is 1 inch below the top then the total gallons would be 171.1125. :D
