bought as heros notatus. i've just taken interested in these fish. i bought
a pair of WC. after seeing and reading about them(especially your's threads) i can positively ID 1 but this 1 seem to have the lack of spots? just want
to make sure. thank you

It's a female Heros notatus.

I would trust this, he knows his fish.

It's a female Heros notatus. The females do not have spots. The black chin strap marking on the yellow gills gives them away. Only my notatus have this black line down both sides of their chin.

It is not Heros severus. My avatar is a female Heros severus. Completely different fish.
