I have 4 EBJD in a 80 gallon tank together and they are only about 7 months old and 2.5 - 3".. Im not sure how many males or females there are because I thought they was too small to tell yet, However when I was doing a water change on the tank today I noticed about 100 little eggs stuck to the back of the tank on the over flow box.. I know EBJD can not breed with each other and that is the only thing in the tank.. Does any one know what I should do now??? Should I try to get the eggs out, should I take the 4 fish out, or just leave them alone??? Thank you for any help you can give me with this

Also 2 of the fish have turned real dark colored almost black.. I believe those are the 2 mating because they are both over by the eggs protecting them from the other 2 fish...

They can breed with each other, the fry just don't survive. If the parents aren't harassing the other fish I'd just leave well enough alone.

+1. Its good to know somebody has an ebjd female... Good job and please share some pics!
Sorry the pictures are so dark but they are back behind some plants and rocks so it is really hard to get a good picture of them... If you look really close at the pictures you can see the parents, They are almost black so very hard to see... The other picture is what they all 4 looked like about a month ago, 2 still look the same and 2 turned really dark!!!

take some more pictures if they eb bred with eb the fry wont survive but if you have blue gene x with eb score....you may want to scoop up the fry once the parents sleep in about 2 weeks and see what you get.

There is no blue genes in there.. there are only 4 fish in the tank and it is the 4 EBJD you see in the last picture.... I know the fry will not survive but I am more worried about them killing the rest of my fish off when they die... Once they get to hatching im gonna start doing 25% WC everyday to make sure it does not foul my water... What is it you are asking for more pictures of the egg's or the 4 fish?
