Help to id this cichild. Cought at central java indonesia in small stream deep in the forest. Theres a lot of them I think they have breed here.

Looks like a female from the genus Amatitlania, or someones attempt at crossing that genus with something else.
Many in the genus sport that same dorsal coloration.
Here are some examples of what I mean about the dorsal colorr in the genus, although I doubt that it is ne of these.
and also from the genus, it could simply be a convict showing feral colors, or again a convict cross.

Agreed. Looks like a convict to me. Could definitely be some sort of cross though.
