Please ID my pike, lfs labeled as c. frenata?

Hello everyone,

I just picked up a 3 inch pike at my lfs. They labeled it as a C. Frenata but i've never seen one with a spot on it's tail. The pics dont really show the spangles forming on it's body. So i thought i'd have you experts lend a hand at IDing this pike. THX!

Looks like it could be out of the Saxatilis group but not positive.

real tough to say at that size. almost looks like a sveni tho. time would tell the difference
