Please ID my skinny Pike

I think it's a C. vittata, but I'm unsure.

Either way he (i think) is very skinny and needs to be looked after. Whats the best food for getting weight on these? bloodworm? Prawn? Mussel?

It's a very skinny, juvenile Cr. sveni.

Lot's of high protein foods should fatten it right up.

Not kidding when he said skinny!! Geez!! Should definately get it on blood worms, mysis, and sinking pellets as soon as possible!! Good rescue!!! I'm assuming thats what it was eh? Generally its not wise to buy fish when they look like that, but normally Crenicichla are pretty easy to pull outa it if they aren't too far gone.

Yeah I'd class it as a rescue!

He's resiting foods, I've got him on sinking pellets, blackworms and bloodworms, but Im not sure how well it will go. Fingers crossed for me. i think Im going to try and get some live food for it.

If you can't get him to eat prepared foods get him fattened up on guppies if you have to. I know it isn't recommended but if he isn't eating and is that skinny he will just get weaker. Alot of times live foods will entice a fish to eat. Better than letting him starve. Just make sure that they are looking good and healthy before feeding them to him. Or if you don't want to use guppies use some other cheap fish, like small mollies or the like. He needs to be fattened up before it is to late.
Fatten them up to before you feed them to the pike.
You can always get him off of the feeders later.

Dyamn he looks like Lindsay Lohan.......Give him some live feeders for a while till he fattens up, and then start to ween him. My pike takes flakes......
