#1&2 are either Aulonocara Stuartgranti "Maleri" or Aulonocara Baenschi "Benga"...I don't know how to tell them apart and neither do the knowledgeable people I've talked to, but unless you know where they came from or you bought them from a good source who knows exactly what they are, then you can be sure of what they are. I'd just stick with calling them "Sunshine Peacocks".

#3 Aulonocara Sp. "Fire Fish" ... these are hybrids and have a few different other names

#4 I'd say your right in saying its a protomelas sp. "taiwan reef"

#5 Leporinus fasciatus?

thank you!

i think the taiwan reef was sold to me as a Protomelas sp. "Spilonotus Tanzania, or some kind of a Hap. could this be right?

also the first two look very different, one has a much darker yellow

The first one isn't as dominant,so its darker, looks to be Benga Sunshine. The hap does look a lot like a Taiwan Reef, but not exactly.I looked up the name u gave, and they all had yellow anal fins so who knows??It could be a mix, some rare,or wildcaught species.people try to sell hybrids as rare species sometimes so its hard to say w/out documentation or see where it came from.does the guy produce hybrids? If he does then yes,it is.Kinda looks Mloto.

this is what it looked like a couple months ago...

It looks like its not showing good color in this pic...and that makes it even harder to tell...plus the flash could've possibly washed its color out a bit. Any other recent pics? It can be hard getting pics of them, I know lol. I have a couple protomelas species and one hates the camera. I would just take about 20 pics and pick out the best pics out of the bunch if you can

I've just noticed it has too many bars on its body and the bars are closer together than a taiwan reefs...which leads me to believe its not a taiwan reef like I initially thought but instead what you bought it as, which is a "Protomelas sp. "Spilonotus Tanzania"

Also, take a look at this protomelas sp. "spilonotus tanzania" I found online compared to yours...notice the markings are very similar? So I guess your old pic did help a bit after all

But, what is confusing me a bit is that yours has a bit different body shape than the P. sp. "Spilonotus Tanzania" it looks like...
