I've been looking for some PB for some time, and finally came across some nice fish in a shop in a town I am visiting. I'm hoping someone can ID these fish in the next day or two so that I can make a decision on them. Also, long term plan would be to keep them in their own tank 10X3X2.5 (560 gallons). How many of this variety could be kept in this size tank, and are there any other interesting fish that could be grown out with the PB and live in the tank with them at maturity. I'll continue to search his forum. Thanks for any help.

Looks like orinocinisus, ocellaris, or monoculus based on the juvenile ID thread. I know it's probably impossible at this size to ID, but any feedback is appreciated.

I would say mono, but they're very gold, possibly kelberi. How.much does it cost?

And in a 560gal tank.....maybe no more than 20 or so.

They are $20. I talked to another shop that told me the shop with the PBs gets their stock from fish farms in Florida. It sounds like other than the tems, the rest are pretty similar in size. I'm thinking I'll pick up 6 or 8...apparently they are quite fragile when they are this small. Thanks for the feedback.

I wound up getting eight of these little guys. I figured I'd keep tossing pics up every now and then until I find out what I bought.

Thanks. I want to get some kelberi from Rapps as well, but I need to grow these guys out a bit first.

I just noticed your signature, and thought I would show you a little action in the tank next door. The parents are F1s from my T.U.I.C./FishFarm breeding pair. I've got dovii everywhere. I bet they make good Cichla snacks. :D

Mono/Ocell, but no one can say for sure until a DNA test or they get bigger :grinno:
