Please ID this fish

My local fisherman caught this fish on sunday, 01-18- 2009 and the picture taken in monday a day after. The length approx 1 meter and weight 15kg/ 30 pounds. By the local fisherman, this fish known as ikan tambra or Tor Tambra/Tambroides, but I doubt it. Looks like Neolissochilus sp. Anybody knows ?thx

Looks like a Mullet

FYI, I live in Java Island Indonesia (central part). This fish was caught from a big river far from beach( 60km from the nearest ).
Mullet ? what sp ?

it looks like a grass carp - Ctenopharyngodon idella - have they been introduced to indonesia?

I'm not sure that its a Tor sp at all - certainly not tambroides or tambra - doesn't look like Neolissochilus sp at all - nor is the distribution correct - unless they have been introduced - my bet is on Ctenopharyngodon though

After collecting some information, I agree with you, lophius. It's a grass carp, a huge one. They have been introduced to Indonesia since 90's.
Case closed.
