It is not an Alligator gar (Atractosteus spatula)
It is a Lepisosteus gar but which one I'm not sure. The pic is a bit to small and the angle does not help in narrowing it down.

Can you get a larger photo or a photo that shows the fish clearly from the side? Photos of the head and "Snout" taken from the side or top would help much.

looks like a Florida gar to me (L. platyrhincus). there is a possibility of it being a spotted gar (L. oculatus) but given the snout length and general proportions i would go with Florida gar. nice looking fish; you will be surprised to see how much the pattern changes as the fish grows. keep us updated on the fish and good luck!--

I'm pretty much in agreement with the above ID by Solomon.
As it grows though it may be a bit more clear which species it is to the 100% confident level.
Please do keep us updated on the fish as it grows.
